Vlatka Ariaana, a (non-UK) Dame, is an internationally recognised thought leader and creative polymath whose intellectual depth, curiosity, artistic sensibility and passion for beauty, exceptional design and timeless sophistication converge in the world of high jewellery. She founded Alcyone Bespoke Jewellery and began creating bespoke, deeply personal and meaningful personal adornments as a way of translating emotion, symbolism and individual stories into exceptional jewels, conceived as works of art to be treasured and passed down through generations.

Her creative vision draws upon a fascination with art, history, symbolism and the extraordinary beauty of precious gemstones. It is this distinctive perspective that gives Alcyone its identity: a world where imagination and meaning meet the highest ideals of elegance and craftmanship.

Vlatka Ariaana's journey into bespoke high jewellery began with an exceptional creation inspired by the famous Vladimir Tiara: a magnificent ring of diamonds and antique alexandrite, meticulously crafted by the esteemed Crown Jeweller Mark Appleby and his team at Mappin & Webb. This inaugural masterpiece marked the beginning of her journey as a high jewellery designer and established the creative spirit behind Alcyone.

Encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive feedback from Mr. Appleby and others, Vlatka Ariaana continued to design over one hundred bespoke creations presented in eight catalogues and commission a number of other bespoke pieces, infusing her knowledge, wisdom, and intuition into each design.

Each Alcyone creation is conceived as an individual work of art, an expression of meaning , beauty and enduring elegance. Rare gemstones, exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtful symbolism come together in jewells not merely to be treasured, but to become future heirlooms carrying stories.
